Installation

Download a file to an EMPTY temporary directory
Execute the .EXE file to recreate the install CD-ROM image. You can delete the .EXE file.
Write a CD-ROM or run the setup file from the temporary directory.
You can delete all files in the temporary directory after installation.
Where it says 'insert CD' below, just navigate to the directory with the CD image.

Note: For detailed installation instructions, see the install.html file located on the ArcGIS Desktop CD.

ArcGIS Desktop
Insert the CD in the CD drive to automatically start the setup program. Follow the instructions on the screen.

The installation will require to choose an existing ESRI license manager on your network or install the license manager on your machine.

ESRI Software Documentation Library
Insert the CD in the CD drive to automatically start the setup program (or navigate to the setup.exe file and double-click). Follow the instructions on the screen.

ArcGIS Desktop Developer Kit
The ArcGIS Desktop installation presents the option to install the ArcGIS Developer Kit. If you choose this option, the ArcGIS setup will prompt you for this CD

Crystal Reports fo5 ESRi
The ArcGIS Desktop installation presents the option to install Crystal Reports for ESRI. If you choose this option, the ArcGIS setup will prompt you for this CD

ArcReader for Windows
ArcReader for Windows is now a function of a typical installation. If you want to install the ArcReader stand-alone application, insert the CD in the CD drive to automatically start the setup program (or navigate to the setup.exe file and double-click).

ArcGIS Desktop Tutorial Data
The ArcGIS Desktop installation presents the optino to install the ArcGIS Desktop tutorial data. f you choose this option, the ArcGIS setup will prompt you for this CD
