Installation

Download a file to an EMPTY temporary directory.
Extract all files from the .ZIP file to recreate the install CD-ROM image. You can delete the .ZIP file.
Write a CD-ROM or run the setup file from the temporary directory.
You can delete all files in the temporary directory after installation.
Where it says 'insert CD' below, just navigate to the directory with the CD image.

ArcGIS 9.2 (ArcIMS) INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Install

Locate the registration number(s) for your product(s). Registration numbers are in the format ECPxxxxxxxxx and send an email to esri-license@osc.edu to get registration numbers.
Insert the installation media and install the appropriate software.
For detailed installation instructions on various platforms and requirements, refer to the install.htm file located under the Product folder on the installation media.

2. Register

Select Typical in the Post-Install dialog box and proceed with the configuration and registration process. Be sure to read the install Guide or follow the preinstall instructions for your particular configuration in Knowledge Base Article 31218 on support.esri.com

3. Automatic Registration

This is recommended method and requires the computer to be connected to the Interent.

Click I have installed my software and need to register it. NOTE: If you have already registered and received an authorization file in the *.ecp format, select I have received an authorization file from ESRI and am now ready to finish the registration process.
Select Register now using the Internet.

Manual Registration

Use this method if the computer you are using does not have an Internet connection.

Select the Register by e-mail or Fax or mail your registration option. Alternatively, from another machine that has an Internet connection, browse to service.esri.com, select the Product Registration link, and follow the instructions.
You will receive an authorization file in a *.ecp format.
Save this file to your machine.
Relauch the Authorization Wizard from Start>Programs, and choose I have received an authorization file from ESRI and am now ready to finish the registration process.
Browse to the saved authorization file to complete the registration.
