ITEC-Ohio StaffSteve Gordon
In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Gordon is a professor in City and Regional Planning, and teaches courses at The Ohio State University in site planning, environmental modeling and undertakes research in watershed modeling and management. Dr. Gordon's research applies models of storm water runoff and water quality to the analysis of watershed management and the applications of communications technology to distance education. He is the author of two books and a number of refereed publications in this area. He has also been actively involved in working with the K-12 community on the integration of technology into the curriculum, the application of real science data, modeling, and visualization techniques for problem-based learning in science and mathematics, and curriculum development for pre-service teacher education in the same areas. Dr. Gordon graduated Cum Laude from State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned a masters degree and PhD degree from Columbia University in Geography with a specialization in environmental systems. |
