Internet 2 congested route

DESCRIPTION:
OARnet has been testing with Internet 2 this morning as Internet 2 has a congested route. OARnet, Internet 2, and Level 3 are all involved in the testing. OARnet has moved backup I2 service and I2 Commerical Peering Services (CPS) to our 10 G link with MERIT. We are working to get another VLAN so that Mulicast and IPV6 can be moved to the alternate route as well. Much of this work was done during the overnight hours. The NOC has ticket #49693 tracking this issue. 2:35 PM - Level 3 swapped the fiber and the packet loss issues have cleared up.
