It provides dedicated high-speed broadband networking to Ohio's education, research, and manufacturing communities and connection to Internet2, a national high performance backbone network. OSCnet has transformed teaching, learning, scientific research, and networking technologies development. Ohio led the nation with the first high-speed connect among all colleges and universities when it hosted a lighting ceremony with the Ohio Board of Regents on November 30, 2004.
