Sachleben and Dr. Dean Johnston Summary These faculty members are also currently developing new courses in computational methods at Otterbein. (As presently envisioned, there will be a joint Chemistry/Physics practicum in mathematical methods, including a significant computational component, as well as a stand-alone course in the Physics Department on computational physics, including parallel computing and visualization.) The proposed system will provide an ideal platform to support these courses, allowing our students to obtain experience on a cutting-edge system of the same type as many of the most powerful computers in the world.
