Summary
A parallel processing facility for complex biological systems. Parallel processing is particularly suited to 1) systems composed of multiple internally complex entities in which each entity can be modeled on a single processor and entities interact via one or a few variables and 2) problems requiring large-scale searches of parameter space or certain types of manipulation and analysis of large data sets. These examples are easily parallelized, and many biological systems are sufficiently complex that parallel processing is required to meaningfully model them. The cluster will form a parallel processing facility for complex biological systems
