INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS
August 06, 2008 - August 07, 2008
9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Ohio Supercomputer Center
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will provide an introduction to the capabilities and
characteristics of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). A brief
introduction to fluid mechanics will be provided along with the different
types of physical systems that can be modeled with CFD. The process of
building, solving and analyzing a system with CFD will be examined.
Material will be presented through lecture, examples and hands on exercises.
PREREQUISITES:The course is structured to be an introduction to CFD. Some training or
experience in fluid mechanics and advanced math would enhance the
understanding of course material, but is not required.
TARGET AUDIENCE:Students or engineers interested in learning about the benefits of
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and what is involved in building and
analyzing a CFD model
INSTRUCTOR:
METHOD OF DELIVERY:Lecture, examples and hands on exercises
