OSC Remote MATLAB Services (RMS) Workshop Series
For current training offerings and registration information please visit https://armstrong.osc.edu/events/upcoming.php
Description
This series of workshops is intended for MATLAB developers that need more computational resources or need to work with large data sets. The workshops present a systematic method for porting desktop MATLAB scripts to OSC's high performance computing systems. You are encouraged to take these specialized workshops if your existing MATLAB codes take too long or if you are unable to process all of the data you would like.
When you have completed the RMS Workshop series you will:
- Be able to run longer MATLAB jobs
- Analyze larger data sets in MATLAB, either
- Multi-file data sets
- Single-file (but large) data sets
- Analyze data faster with parallel MATLAB
- Understand basic concepts of scalable computing and apply them using OSC’s Remote MATLAB Services (RMS)
Individual Sessions include:
- Remote Computing and Parametric Parallelism Workshop
- Data Parallelism Workshop
- Task Parallelism and Message Passing Workshop
Prerequisites
Completion of "Introduction to MATLAB" workshop or familiarity with MATLAB and experience with either linear algebra, signal & image processing or another scientific computing field.
Target Audience
MATLAB developers that would like to learn how to apply high performance computing resources to larger data sets.
Method of Delivery
Lecture and hands-on laboratory
