For current training offerings and registration information please visit https://armstrong.osc.edu/events/upcoming.php

Description

This workshop will provide an introduction to the capabilities and characteristics of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). A brief introduction to fluid mechanics will be provided along with the different types of physical systems that can be modeled with CFD. The process of building, solving and analyzing a system with CFD will be examined. Material will be presented through lecture, examples and hands on exercises.

Prerequisites

The course is structured to be an introduction to CFD. Some training or experience in fluid mechanics and advanced math would enhance the understanding of course material, but is not required.

Target Audience

Students or engineers interested in learning about the benefits of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and what is involved in building and analyzing a CFD model

Method of Delivery

Lecture, examples and hands on exercises
