"Customize Your Own" Workshop

You asked for it, and we are offering it -- the Ohio Supercomputer Center will host academic and industry researchers for a week of customized high performance software presentation and consultation, February 16-20, 2009, noon to 5 p.m., in the OSC BALE theater. You may attend any or all informal sessions offered during the week.

Each day will start with a specific software development discussion topic, including:
• Monday, Feb. 16 - HPC overview
• Tuesday, Feb. 17 - Batch processing
• Wedneday, Feb. 18 - Compilers
• Thursday, Feb. 19 - Accelerating simulations with NVIDIA GPU hardware
• Friday, Feb. 20 - Parallel Programming

Afterward, OSC support staff will be available to provide one-on-one consultation. Areas of interest could include:
• Answering burning questions about any high performance computing issues
• Providing direct access to OSC supercomputers
• Working on problems with your code
• Building software packages on your machine
• Answering your display graphics issues
• Developing parallel software
• Offering the most individualized assistance for your time
• Networking with other researchers, possibly initiating collaborative projects
