Statewide Software Licensing Overview

Description:

The purpose of this half-day workshop is to get the word out about the OSC Statewide Software Distribution Program.

OSC has received funding from the Ohio Board of Regents to acquire licenses for software tools that will facilitate research. We are pleased to announce the availability of the products below on a statewide basis.

  • Intel Compilers, Tools, and Libraries
  • Totalview Debugger
  • Advanced Visual Systems (for professional level data animations)
  • The venerable (and huge) NAG Mathematical Libraries
  • Portland Group compilers (C, C++, F77, F90) for Intel-based machines
  • Altair Hyperworks for research-level engineering design and simulations

Specifically, this course will describe the key features of each software and the procedure for installing it on diverse platforms.

There are a limited number of licenses for each product. The licensing program initially will be available to current OSC users and then will be expanded to a wider audience.
