This video tutorial will help you walk through the process of creating a collection from endpoints, and then sharing that collection with adding/removing permissions.
Hello, in this video, we will be discussing how to share files using Globus. If you would like more information about Globus, please go to our online documentation at osc.edu. Open up a Web browser and navigate to globus.org. Once the Web page loads, go ahead and click the 'login' button. Go ahead and select 'Ohio Supercomputer Center' as your login provider and then hit 'Continue'.
Go ahead and log in with your OSC credentials. By default, you should be on the file manager page. If not, go ahead and click 'File Manager' on the left hand side bar. In the upper right hand corner, a switch to the single pane view.
Enter your desired collection for the endpoint.
Here is a table of all collections managed by Ohio Supercomputer Center.
Select your file or folder and click 'Share'. If you have not shared this collection, click 'Add a Guest Collection', fill in the pertinent information and click 'Create Collection'.
Now we are going to share by clicking 'Add Permissions - Share With'. Enter the pertinent information such as who and what kind of permissions you are granting, then click 'Add Permissions'.
This page will show everyone that has access permissions. If you would like to remove someone, then click the 'trashcan' icon and click 'remove'. To see all collections shared by you, click 'Endpoints' on the left hand bar then click 'Shareable By You'.
