Oakley, Owens, Ruby

Job scripts are submitted to the batch system using the qsub command.  Be sure to submit your job on the system you want your job to run on.

The batch systems on different clusters are entirely separate; one knows anything about the jobs queued or running on other systems.  You may edit your batch scripts anywhere, but you must submit and monitor your jobs from a login node on the system where you want to run.

ANSYS FLUENT (called FLUENT hereafter) is a state-of-the-art computer program for modeling fluid flow and heat transfer in complex geometries.

Availability and Restrictions

FLUENT is available on the Oakley Cluster. The versions currently available at OSC are:

Before You Start

When creating a node, we should first switch the text format from "Filtered HTML" to "Full HTML", the control for which is located immediately below the "Body" editing area. This is necessary to give access to the formatting features discussed below.

Apache Maven is a plugin-based build automation tool, similar in purpose to GNU Make or Apache Ant. It is most commonly used with Java projects, but also supports other languages such as .NET and C/C++.
