Register now for SC07/Ohio Supercomputer Center workshop on integrating computational science into curricula

COLUMBUS, Ohio — April 9, 2007 — Both businesses and researchers increasingly are using computational science to enhance their return on investments and discovery methods. Faculty wishing to incorporate this discipline into their coursework are invited to attend the workshop, “Integrating Computational Science into the Undergraduate Curriculum,” June 17 to 23, 2007, at the Ohio Supercomputer Center, Columbus, Ohio.

Ohio Supercomputer Center Calls for Proposals for Statewide Computational Science Courses

Columbus, Ohio -- August 3, 1999 -- The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) is looking for Ohio faculty interested in using distance learning technologies to bring computational science courses to campuses across the state.

OSC, a statewide resource for high performance technology, recently received funding from the Ohio Board of Regents to assist the state in developing computational science expertise at its public universities. OSC will fund computational science courses from various institutions that can be taught on multiple campuses.

Computational Science Education Expert from Capital University Joins Regents, Supercomputer Center on Statewide Project

Columbus, Ohio -- June 13, 2005-- A Capital University professor has been recruited by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) to set their statewide computational science program in motion.

Ignatios Vakalis, professor of mathematics and computer science and executive director of the Center of Computational Studies at Capital University, will serve as coordinator for undergraduate education for the Statewide Initiative for Computational Science and also will be appointed as OSC senior fellow.
