Columbus, Ohio – January 29, 2008 – With the deployment of the Ohio Supercomputer Center’s new IBM Cluster 1350, the State of Ohio is now home to the 65th fastest supercomputer in the world and the 9th fastest among U.S. academic supercomputer centers.

OSC Prepares for Supercomputing 2002

ACTS experiments involving the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) and OSU Advanced Computing Center for Arts and Design (ACCAD)

OSC Receives $6 Million for Springfield Supercomputing Center

Springfield, Ohio—December 3, 2003—The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) has received $6 million from the United States Department of Energy (DOE) to establish a supercomputing center in Springfield, Ohio. OSC will work closely with the DOE, the Department of Defense (DoD) center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and other local agencies to provide a high performance computing presence in southwestern Ohio.

Ohio Supercomputer Center Selects IBM For Massive Storage System

Ohio Supercomputer Center Upgrades BALE Cluster

COLUMBUS, Ohio – January 29, 2007 – Students and researchers using the Ohio Supercomputer Center’s (OSC) BALE Cluster can now enjoy faster rendering for visualizations and improved system stability. OSC's Ralph Regula School of Computational Science (RRSCS) will also be able to use the updated BALE training environment for a variety of computational science education activities. RRSCS is a statewide, virtual school focused on computational science.
