OSC VideosHPC's Effect on the Rate of LearningPete Buca, Branch Technology Director, Aerospace FMCS, Parker Hannifin Corp. The rate of learning, in any endeavor, is directly related to how many times you repeat it. So, in computation when we are working slowly, with slower computers, our rate of learning was really limited by the computational speed. That’s not something that is really apparent to most people, you would think that the learning rate is not necessarily controlled by the computer, but in actual reality, the actual fact is that the more computational power available to our analysts, the better the learning they have regarding the hardware, and the more they develop as people who are capable of dealing with future problems. |
