A new project now underway will provide Ohio's public college nd university students and faculty, a growing number of the state's private colleges, and the State Library of Ohio with instantaneous electronic access to a range of valuable materials, information and data which are currently hard-to-find and/or available in non-circulating form only.
Austin Kochs, a third-year student at The Metro Early College High School, delivered a final presentation last week on his internship experiences at the Ohio Supercomputer Center during the winter quarter.
Kochs gave his presentation to teachers, parents and Ohio Supercomputer Center staff and offered a comparative review of OpenFOAM, an open-source computational fluid dynamics program used by industry and academic researchers.
The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (OSU) are designing a groundbreaking virtual surgical training program using software and hardware developed at OSC. The study, officially called “Simulation Technology in Veterinary Education: Research and Surgical Training,” began in January 2007 and will last for about eight months.
Partners for Advanced Computational Services (PACS) training materials will now be used to help reduce vulnerability in our nation’s information system.

Edward H. Jennings, president emeritus and finance professor at The Ohio State University, will discuss the framework for the United States' higher education system at a seminar in Hanoi, Vietnam Aug. 1-3.
Jennings, who was president of Ohio State from 1981-1990, will address a group of officials from the Vietnamese higher education system and education department at the seminar, which is sponsored by the Midwest Universities Consortium for International Activities, Inc. (MUCIA).
