We will have a rolling reboot of Owens starting from 9AM on Monday, September 11 2017. It is to update the owens-rw-next environment with a new RedHat 7.3 kernel. The main change with this kernel are fixes for regressions from the Stackguard vulnerability patch.  This kernel will fix a known issue that caused some VTune tools to fail. This rolling reboot won't affect any running jobs, but users may experience longer queue wait time than usual on the Owens cluster.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please contact oschelp@osc.edu if you have any questions.
