The rolling reboot of Owens has been completed. 

Original Post:

We are having rolling reboots of Owens cluster including login and compute nodes, starting from October 10, 2019, to update Kernel and root filesystem. The rolling reboots won't affect any running batch jobs, but users may experience longer queue wait time than usual on Owens. 

A reboot of the Owens login nodes is scheduled at 8AM on Friday, October 11, 2019. The outage is expected to last 5-10 minutes and SSH sessions on Owens will be disconnected during the outage.
