This hands-on webinar will introduce the R environment for statistical computing with a particular focus on academic and educational applications; it is intended for educators who want to incorporate R into their classes and their own work. We will showcase the features that make R a popular choice and highlight particular tools in the wider R ecosystem that support ergonomic workflows, replicable data analysis, expressive visualization, and effective communication of data-driven arguments. Participants should be familiar with tabular data analysis using statistical software, database tools, or spreadsheet programs.
