We're currently accepting applications for this year's Young Women's Summer Institute!
Fifteen Ohio middle-school 6th and 7th graders and five Ohio K-12 science teachers will be selected to attend this one-week residential program.
Students will take a field trip to area rivers where they will view environmental impacts and, under optimal conditions, measure water quality. Students will then use computers to enter, analyze, and evaluate river pollution and to prepare group presentations. They will also have the opportunity to hear from prominent women about their roles in math, engineering and science fields.
During the program, students will be divided into teams. Adult supervision for each group will be provided.
