Virtual Product Development Using Finite Element Analysis

A Workshop for Ohio Industry Engineers

Intergraph Corporation will present a Virtual Product Development Using Finite Element Analysis workshop on May 24, 1994, at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC), 1224 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio. This presentation emphasizes the role of analysis in the design of a new product. It elaborates on the work flow during the evolution of design from "art to part" utilizing latest CAD-CAM Concurrent Engineering technology.

The half-day workshop covers a broad spectrum of mechanical engineering applications in tandem with analysis including: Variational Solid Modeling, Mechanical Design and Drafting, Conceptual Design (Industrial Design), Finite Element Analysis, Plastics Engineering, Fabrication, NC Programming, Engineering Data Management.

The role of Concurrent Engineering principles is featured to emphasize the importance of quick turnaround time in new product design and manufacturing to remain competitive in today's global marketplace.

There is no charge for the workshop, but registration is required. Morning and afternoon sessions available, but space is limited, so please call Aline Davis, 614-292-6056, for registration before May 20. For information about OSC's Industrial Program, contact Marty Lobdell, 614-292-9291.

The Ohio Supercomputer Center is a state-funded, shared resource of high performance computing for Ohio scientists and engineers. OSC often partners with companies, such as Intergraph, to provide the latest computational tools and technologies to Ohio industry and academia.

Intergraph Corporation's integrated software applications are used for computer- aided engineering, design, analysis, manufacturing, publishing, and earth sciences such as mapping/geographical information systems.
