Workshop: Big Data at OSC

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) is pleased to announce a Big Data workshop to be held at OSC on the west campus of Ohio State University. The workshop focuses on running hadoop and spark jobs using OSC resources. Attendees will have an opportunity to try and experience running these software packages at OSC clusters. 

 

Topics for this workshop include:

·         Introduction to Big Data

·         Data analytics at OSC

·         Running Hadoop and Spark at OSC

 

This is a hands-on workshop and we will be running exercises in a Linux command line environment.

 

OSC workshop accounts will be provided. 

 

Who Should Attend

Current or prospective researchers who are interested in Big Data analytics, Hadoop, or Spark.

 

Prerequisites

Some familiarity with command line, Linux, or programming is helpful, but not required.
