Classroom Jupyter and RStudio Apps

If you have classroom projects at OSC that used the Jupyter or RStudio apps through class.osc.edu before June 30, 2025 and plan to reuse your classroom environment, the PI will need to complete the following one‑time update:

  1. Ensure your project is still active and has a positive budget.
  2. Remove the old dependency directories (these will no longer be compatible):
    • For Jupyter: /fs/ess/project_ID/course_ID/jupyter
    • For RStudio: /fs/ess/project_ID/course_ID/Rpkgs

Please note: Any previously installed packages will no longer work after this cleanup. Once you launch a new session, you will need to reinstall any required packages.
