To commemorate the years of service to computational science education at the Ohio Supercomputer Center, including the ideation, establishment, and stewardship of significant educational programs, to be given annually to an awardee who emulates his dedication and devotion to the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Recipients receive a certificate that states "Given in recognition of service to computational science education at the Ohio Supercomputer Center and emulating the educational aspirations, established by Steven Gordon, Ph.D., during his creation and stewardship of OSC’s Young Women’s Summer Institute program from 2000 to 2018."
