STEM Institute

Ohio residents currently in ninth, tenth, or eleventh grade

The STEM Institute (SI) is the Ohio Supercomputer Center's two-week summer camp for Ohio's brightest high school students in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of high school at the time of application. Participants experience the dynamic fields of high performance computing and networking firsthand. Working with a faculty of experts in high performance computing (HPC), networking, engineering, and the sciences, students learn fundamental computing concepts, including programming languages, parallel processing techniques, and visualization toolkits.

Youth STEM Institute

Ohio residents currently in sixth or seventh grade

The Youth STEM Institute (YSI) is a week-long program offered by the Ohio Supercomputer Center for Ohio youth in sixth or seventh grade at the time of application. YSI is designed to promote computer, math, science, and engineering skills and provide hands-on experiences. YSI helps youth develop an interest in these subjects by allowing them to work on an interesting and practical scientific problem using the latest computer technology.
