As part of "E-Commerce Day in Ohio," more than 100 state legislators were presented with "Wired" awards in honor of their adoption of technology. New Conference to Connect Ohio’s Biosciences Research Leaders
The Inaugural Ohio Collaborative Conference on Bioinformatics (OCCBIO) is set for June 28-30, 2006, at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for discussing research findings and experiences in computational approaches to biology-related problems. An important conference goal is to foster long-term collaborative relationships among informatics and life sciences researchers from academia, government and industry--spanning interests across Ohio.
The direct experience of art transcends its procedural techniques, whether the pieces are elegant temples built thousands of years ago or images created with computers, said Charles “Chuck” Csuri, who recently presented “Beyond Boundaries” as a featured presenter for the Ralph Regula School’s Computational Science Lecture Series.
