System Downtime October 8, 2019

A downtime for all HPC systems is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The downtime will affect the Pitzer, Ruby and Owens Clusters, web portals, and HPC file servers. Login services, including my.osc.edu, access to storage and license server for hyperworks hosted by OSC will not be available during this time. In preparation for the downtime, the batch scheduler will begin holding jobs that cannot be completed before 7 a.m., October 8, 2019.

LAMMPS 5Jun19 is available

LAMMPS stable version 5Jun19 has been installed with MVAPICH2, OpenMPI, and IntelMPI on Owens and Pitzer.  These are GPU enabled installations.  Usage is via the module lammps/5Jun19.  For installation details, such as, available packages and example batch scripts, use command:  "module help lammps/5Jun19".  For help loading an installation, use command:  "module spider lammps/5Jun19".

Gurobi is a mathematical optimization solver that supports a variety of programming and modeling languages.
