Press Releases

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) will introduce an early access program on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for Open OnDemand Support Program subscribers to facilitate immediate deployment of software releases that can benefit research computing users across the globe.

Ohio college student participants in the 2026 AI Research Experience (AIRE) program learned how to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools and high performance computing (HPC) resources to examine solutions for real-world issues such as earthquake and flood forecasting, autonomous vehicle safety, and wildlife conservation.

At Miami University, faculty can access a wealth of high performance computing (HPC) resources, from the Miami Redhawk Cluster housed at the Oxford, Ohio, institution’s campus to state-supported resources at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) and beyond.

Researchers, developers, system administrators, engineers, and students who share an interest in the MVAPICH open-source library for high performance computing (HPC) are gathering at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) Monday, Aug. 17, through Wednesday, Aug. 19, for the 14th meeting of the MVAPICH Users Group (MUG).

When researchers and clinicians at Perth Children’s Hospital in Western Australia began exploring how large language models (LLMs) could support clinical research, the promise of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools quickly collided with the realities of working with highly sensitive data.

At Wright State University, a public university in Dayton, Ohio, faculty and students are using the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) to support hands-on coursework and data-driven research across campus.

At Ohio University, students and researchers are using the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) to take on increasingly complex, data-intensive work—from simulating medical research problems to creating digital art with artificial intelligence.

When the University of Otago – Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka set out to modernize access to its high performance computing (HPC) resources, the goal wasn’t to grow infrastructure — it was to remove barriers.

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) has released version 4.2.2 of Open OnDemand—an open-source web portal used by high performance computing (HPC) centers to offer researchers and students easy access to computational resources—to comply with new U.S. digital accessibility regulations.
