The Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center of Ohio presents Windows On The Future Showcasing Research and Industry

Windows On The Future provides a forum in which academic institutions, research centers, corporate laboratories and government agencies can share knowledge, exchange ideas, and form networking relationships that will collectively benefit Ohio's higher education and industrial communities. This conference will focus on technology briefings by leading researchers in areas such as Internet engineering, networking, communications, and technology development.

OSC Announces First Ever Ohio Business Privacy Forum

The explosion of the Internet changed the way the world does business. It has affected the way we hire employees, transfer medical records and make sales transactions.

In addition, advances in technology outpace current practice, law and regulation. For firms, this endangers valuable proprietary data. Meanwhile, consumers may have private information exposed without their knowledge.

“This tutorial is unique in a number of ways,” said Dr. David Ennis, PACS Course Development Leader and Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) Systems Developer. “Rather than present a list of available libraries, we have structured the course by common mathematical problems and topics.”

OSC to Host Remote Site for Kansas Chautauqua

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) will participate in the fifth National Computational Science Alliance Chautauqua, giving users and educators an opportunity to learn about Access Grid technologies. Registration is free for the event (see http://www.ncsa.edu/chautauqua).

The Chautauquana nationwide conference to showcase the technologies and research of the AllianceÑwill be held Aug. 1-3. The University of Kansas will host the conference, and as many as nine sites are expected to connect to the events through the Access Grid.
