Compilers

C, C++ and Fortran are supported on the Pitzer cluster. Intel, PGI and GNU compiler suites are available. The Intel development tool chain is loaded by default. Compiler commands and recommended options for serial programs are listed in the table below. See also our compilation guide.

Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.

Wine is a open-source compatibility layer that allows Windows applications  to run on Unix-like operating system without a copy of Microsoft Windows.

OSC is refreshing the software stack for Owens and Ruby on September 4, 2018. This will be done by a rolling reboot. During the software refresh, some default versions are updated to be more up-to-date. Information about the old and new default versions, as well as all available versions of each software package will be included on the corresponding OSC software webpage.
